A full 3 months in… Here’s what we’ve been up to this month…
Mix and Mingle
We’ve been out and about at plenty of events this month, but we also found time to host our own.
We have a fully equipped photography studio available to hire here at Studio B61 and we love helping aspiring photographers learn how to use it.
Most schools, colleges and some universities don’t have photography studios so even some professional photographers don’t know how to use a studio. They can be expensive to hire so we’ve designed ours to be an affordable and accessible option for people to learn and develop their portfolio. It’s self contained, so it’s the perfect space for people to welcome clients for professional photoshoots too.

At the end of November we opened our doors to professional, amateur and aspiring photographers to help more people discover studio photography.
Our first ever photographer’s Mix and Mingle event was a festive affair, with mince pies, mulled wine and a brilliant model. Some people even braved the freezing temperatures outside to try out our new gels and create different colour effects.
There were some fantastic creative photos taken on the night – we were really impressed with how everyone got involved, helped each other and even though we were all photographing the same model the results were all really different.
The success of the event even made front page news on the Bromsgrove Advertiser’s website too…

Getting strategic
Sometimes we’re so busy marketing everyone else’s business that we don’t get time to think about our own. At the start of this month we spent a weekend brainstorming new ideas, getting clear about our goals and working out what we’re going to do in the year ahead to achieve them.
A strategy day can be a really great way to plan for business growth. It’s the perfect opportunity to revisit your ideal customer profiles (or even create them if you’ve never had them before), set out your marketing and sales funnel and spot any gaps or opportunities that you might currently be missing.
Now is the perfect time to start planning your marketing strategy for the year ahead. We’ve already started working with several brands on their plan for 2018 and is looking forward to helping our current clients meet their marketing goals.

More awards under our belt
We had even more to celebrate when we were chosen by Jacqueline Gold, CEO of Ann Summers, as winners of her WOW Award on Twitter.
Every Wednesday she chooses her top 3 women-led businesses as winners of the award. We were over the moon when on 29th November she chose Studio B61as one of her winners for the week!
What we’ve been working on…
It’s a busy time of year as everyone’s getting their printing and design in before Christmas and getting their marketing ready for the year ahead.
We can’t share everything we’ve been working on this month (some of it is top secret!) but here are a few of our highlights:
Flying the flag
Our clients NPP Neuro Group have been busy with building work and putting the finishing touches to their Stourbridge office. We printed some flags for the outside of their building and were pleased to see them flying high!
Bayleys of Bromsgrove
We’re also pleased to see that Bayleys of Bromsgrove has now opened – we’re always pleased to welcome a new coffee shop to town.
We cut these vinyl stickers for their lightboxes – and we’re big fans of their industrial style and of course the coffee!
It’s full steam ahead to Christmas now, with our fingers crossed for more successes in December!
