Drone shots bring design work to life for ARCC…

Hannah and Alec got a chance to team up on a project this month for ARCC communications.

Hannah has been working on expo graphics and a flyer for ARCC but needed imagery to add to the design – it was looking like they were going to need to take some photos as stock images weren’t going to accurately show what ARCC do and the existing images they had weren’t high enough resolution for the large format graphics.

ARCC instantly jumped at the chance to get the drone on site for these shots – Ground photography wasn’t going to show the work they were doing at the top of the mast. The vision was to have the drone eye line with the riggers while they were working on the top of the mast to create the background to the flyers and expo graphics – Alec sure delivered the goods with this drone shot early in the morning!

We edited the drone photo to bring out the ARCC brand colours – Which looked really impressive on the 3m curved backdrop.

Not 1 but 2 expos…

ARCC wasn’t the only expo graphics we did in October, we also designed and printed a curved backdrop for Charter Hall.

Brood is ready to relaunch…

Natalie from Brood contacted us back in August to discuss the rebrand and relaunch of their hospitality and homeware business. After meeting with Natalie, we concluded that the business needed to be branded into 4 sub-brands under the main ‘Brood’ identity as there were 4 clear directions that the business was taking, each with individual target audiences and purposes. This made it the biggest branding project Hannah had tackled to date.

During October we finalised the main ‘Brood’ logo and 3 of the sub-brands.

The 4th sub-brand is almost complete, with just the tagline to finalise – Keep an eye out for a future blog where we’ll be sharing the development of the whole branding project once the 4th logo is complete.

We are excited to be continuing working with Brood over the next few months leading up to their relaunch in April 2019 – We are about to start working on a range of print design for their holiday cottages & glamping site and early next year we will be working on marketing material for ‘Brood Home’, ‘Brood Play’ and ‘Brood Love’.

New team members join Bromwich Hardy…

During October, we had 3 members of Bromwich Hardy visit us to have their headshots taken for the team page of the website.

We’ve done several headshot photoshoots for Bromwich Hardy now, sometimes on-site at their offices in Coventry and sometimes in our studio in Bromsgrove.

With the consistency you can achieve with a professional lighting set-up, you’d never be able to tell some of the photos on their team page have been taken 40 miles apart!

Photography, Design & Illustration come together for In2Components…

October was a month of finalising projects – One of those was a project we started working on a few months back for In2Components.

It had several stages to the project, initially we photographed their products in the studio, then we illustrated parts from the photographs to use on the overall brochure design advertising their unique suspension systems.

SBX launches online shop…

At the end of October we launched the website for SBXtreme. We customised a Shopify template for them to match the product photos we had previously done for them.

Check out our blog post ‘SBX photoshoot goes up in smoke’ to see more of the product shots.

Head over to www.sbxtreme.com to see the final website in action.

Photographers descend on Studio B61 for event…

We ended November with a photography event at our studio in collaboration with Igers Worcestershire. The event went really well and it’s been great to see lots of photos posted to Instagram from the event. Check out the blog post ‘Photographers Assemble’ to read all about it and see behind the scenes.

We even ran a competition on Insta to win an hour of free studio hire.

Congratulations to Ben (@benfrancis94) for winning the competition…

Along with the 2 runners up…

Pumpkin gets #InstaFamous from Pantone repost…

Speaking of Instagram, Hannah had her designer mind blown this month when Pantone… THE PANTONE… reposted one of her photos to their profile.

To date, it’s had over 12k likes!

It was a photo she posted to the Studio B61 Instagram account last October, and Pantone reposted it along with their halloween inspired images #DesignerGoals

Seeing the Wyre Forest through a different perspective…

The two Hannahs had an afternoon out of the office in November and went on a photography outing to the Wyre Forest. They got some really cool shots with Alec’s Lens Ball…

…and of course got the Pantone cards out as well (Maybe we’ll get another repost from Pantone – Fingers crossed!)
