It has now been 2 years since the launch of Studio B61. Let’s recap…
For those of you that don’t know, Hannah ran Headdesk Graphic Design Studio for six and a half years before rebranding and starting Studio B61 Ltd. Over the years Headdesk began to out-grow itself as our print and photography areas developed rapidly and so we naturally evolved into a multi-service agency. And so Studio B61 was born.
Now 2 years on, we’re still pushing the photography and print side of the business alongside our core service of Graphic Design.
So, what’s new this year?
Hannah Tolley officially joined the team as Office Manager in August last year. Hannah worked for Hannah (we know, it’s confusing) for several years, helping with admin part-time. She has been running the day-to-day of the business for the past year and making sure everything is getting done when it’s meant to – She runs a tight ship!
Studio B61 got a brand new look! We rebranded in May with a new logo, which meant the website got a refresh too along with all our marketing material.
Alec has been up in the skies with the drone over the spring/summer, getting some brilliant aerial shots. We introduced drone photography to our services last April when Alec qualified as a CAA approved drone pilot. Over the past year we’ve really enjoyed having the opportunity to start incorporating the drone shots with our design work more which has really reinforced the ‘full service agency’ idea that we want to grow.
We have continued to work for many of our long-standing clients who we have developed strong relationships with over the years. Along with securing several new contracts.
Our work with HMPPS continues, in early 2019 we started working for HMP Full Sutton in York which has been really interesting and rewarding. We previously worked for HMP Hewell in Redditch for 18 months which gave us a big insight into the industry. With a couple of nationwide projects for HMPPS in the pipeline at the moment, hopefully we will have the opportunity to work with more establishments over the country this year.
We’ve had a great opportunity in the past couple of months to work even closer with Harris Lamb, our longest standing client. We now produce all their in-house particulars. We’ve loved working with Harris Lamb over the past 10 years and it’s great to know that they can rely on us for such an important part of their client offering.

We are relocating next month!
We’ve been on the hunt for the past few months for an office premises in Kidderminster and we’ve finally found one. We’ll be sharing the whole renovation process with you – get excited for some real #OfficeGoals because we’re going to make this space really creative.
Our team hopes to continue working with our long-term clients and are always looking to work with new businesses to get creative with.
What goals are the team setting themselves for the next year?
“My goal for the next year is to get out and take more photos without a reason. I go through phases with taking photos and over the past few months my camera has been gathering dust.” – Hannah D
“Over the next few months, my focus will be on making sure that the relocation goes smoothly. I’m planning a whole new organisational system for the office which I’m excited to put into place.” – Hannah T
“This year I want to do more with the 360 camera and start introducing it to our commercial property clients. It’s been a long process figuring out how it all works and mastering the editing. So far, I’ve been focussing on using the camera for stills but I’m now excited to take those skills and start using it for video as well.” – Alec
